One of the keys to happiness is showing gratitude for the good things in our lives, and one of the most effective exercises for doing that is called “Three Good Things”.
There’s been a lot of research about this particular exercise that has shown that it reduces stress, increases resilience, improves work-life balance, and has many other benefits, even for people in very high pressure, high-stress jobs.
You can search different variations on how to do “Three Good Things”, but one method for doing it is at the end of each day, to write down three good things that happened and for each thing you would also write why you feel it happened. There is an extra benefit if you decide to start doing this exercise, which is that people who look for good things in their lives every day tend to start finding more of them.
