My brother Robbie was an aficionado of cigars, pens, chocolate, and many other good things. As an attorney, he had very few bad days but when one would occasionally happen, he had a saying: “On a good day, you have a little chocolate. On a bad day, you have a lot of chocolate.” I have very few bad days, too, and when they happen, aside from chocolate, I will call a friend, I will take a walk or just try to do something to distract myself from whatever bad thing is going on.
I certainly hope you have more good days than bad ones, but when the occasional bad one crops up, I hope you have as much chocolate as you need to make it better. Doctor’s orders.
