There is an old toy car that’s been in my family for decades and the way that it works is you put it on a flat surface and pull it backwards; that creates tension in a spring inside the car and that propels it forward.
I think in life there are often situations where we have to pull back in order to go forward.
It might be when we go to a new job and there are things that we have to learn and get good at before we can really move ahead.
It might be another situation in life where there’s a lesson we learned that maybe set us back a little bit, but ultimately we go forward from that better than we were before.
I hope in your life, you are always moving forward but also with the recognition that sometimes pulling back gives you exactly what you need to propel yourself even further.
