Although I like drinking coffee, I’m by no means an aficionado, and a friend recently sent me an article that sort of cataloged all the ways to make the perfect cup of coffee. I’m sure you’ve seen things like this before, and people go to great lengths to achieve that.
One of the things I noticed that was interesting among the recommendations was a discussion about how although everything starts with the coffee bean, it doesn’t have to be the perfect coffee bean because good beans can be made better by how they’re roasted.
It reminds me that in life there are things that don’t necessarily have to be perfect or awesome, but our attention to them and our willingness to take the time to make them better can improve things quite a bit. That if there’s something in our life that we want to improve, a little time and attention goes a long way to making it possibly perfect.
